Melinda May discovers her infection caused by Lucy Bauer, hallucinating Phil Coulson with a demonic face. The next day, Robbie Reyes picks up Gabe Reyes, his crippled brother, to hang out with him for the day. However, Johnson manages to keep herself alive, and the Rider, peeking into her soul, decides to let her live. After questioning him, Reyes transforms into Ghost Rider and attempts to kill her. Reyes attempts to subdue her unsuccessfully, and Johnson reveals her powers. Quake, having found Robbie Reyes' location, meets him at Canelo's Auto and Body to misdirect information out of him. Unknown to May, Bauer infects her before fleeing. Melinda May and the STRIKE team arrive to arrest them. The infection causes him to hallucinate his co-workers with demonic faces. Quake continues research into the Ghost Rider in an attempt to find him. Fitz begins to panic because Radcliffe had built her body without permission and could get arrested. However, when Radcliffe steps out of the room, Fitz discovers Aida in her new Life-Model Decoy. Fitz gives them new equipment, including an update for Phil Coulson's Prosthetic Hand.įitz meets with Holden Radcliffe to watch the 2016-17 Scottish League Cup finals. Back at the Playground, Coulson and Mack visit Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons. Meanwhile, Johnson breaks into Scott's hospital room to question him about the crate and Ghost Rider, although he passes away. She also reveals the officials are tracking Johnson with the intention of killing her. She reveals to them details of the Ghost Rider incident, and in private, tells them Quake was there. Phil Coulson and Alphonso Mackenzie return as May is training a new team of specialist agents. The next day, Melinda May sends a request out to the Zephyr One to return to the Playground. Johnson, who could do nothing but watch in horror, is forced to escape when the LAPD arrive. He brutally murders Moore and Anderson, then kidnaps Mitchell, before getting in the Hell Charger and driving away. Suddenly, Robbie Reyes drives up and transforms into Ghost Rider when Moore fires a rocket at him. In their getaway, they are attacked by Quake, who slows them down. In 'Deals With Our Devils,' the latest episode of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.', Robbie Reyes gave up the ghost - or, rather, the ghost gave up him. If you enjoyed this Ghost Rider’s comic book beginnings, this episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” shouldn’t have disappointed you.Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D. The adaptation is a mirror image of Reyes/Ghost Rider’s 2014 debut in the pages of Marvel Comics, including the cool leather jacket and the disabled little brother that Reyes has to take care of that could turn out to be the Ghost Rider’s only true weakness if exploited. His appearance Monday night on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” was heavily hyped online and many fans of this current iteration of the Rider, created by writer/artist Felipe Smith, were thrilled to see him in action. Reyes, a young Los Angeles-born Latino, is the first of those major comic-book changes to make it to a live-action adaptation. Marvel Comics has made headlines over the years for making diverse changes to many of their well-known characters, from the half black/half Puerto Rican Miles Morales to an Asian Incredible Hulk to a female Thor to a black Captain America. Perhaps producers will see that and we’ll get more of these special super guest appearances. This is the most buzz that’s hovered over an episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in some time. Robbie Reyes showing up (played by Gabriel Luna) will hopefully change that. It’s part of the reason that despite entering the show’s fourth season, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” isn’t as buzzed-about as shows like CW’s “The Flash,” a series that give fanboys instant superhero gratification. Sure, you’ll hear them mentioned (Ultron was referenced in Monday night’s season premiere), but we’re not seeing those big names. Your chances of seeing Thor, Iron Man or Spider-Man on “Agents S.H.I.E.L.D.” are slim to none. Most of Marvel’s heavyweights can be seen courtesy of Marvel Studios movies or Netflix.
